Check In Protocol

CHECK IN PROTOCOLS (as of July 1, 2021):

  • ONE family member is allowed to accompany your pet during their appointment.

    • You are welcome to wear a mask if you prefer, but it is not required. If you choose to remain curbside for any reason we are more than happy to accommodate that request.
    • If you have children that are not of legal age to be left unattended in the vehicle, we kindly ask that you wait in your vehicle with them for the duration of your appointment.
  • Technician and surgical appointments will remain as curbside ONLY appointments.
  • There are kennels located on the left of the lobby. The kennels allow us to hospitalize patients that require extensive medical treatment.

    • Please do not approach the kennels or allow your pet to approach the kennels.
    • To ensure that everyone remains safe you will be escorted through the lobby into the exam room by a staff member.
  • All dogs must be on a leash and all cats must be in a carrier. If your cat is not in a carrier you may purchase one from us for $10.00.
  • Only one person is permitted to be in the lobby to pick up food or medications at a time. If there is already a client in the lobby we ask that you please wait outside until they exit the hospital.

Additional Notes:

  • We would like to warn you our hospital is very small in size. During your appointment you may hear a discordant mixture of mostly unpleasant sounds, including phones ringing, cages shutting, machines beeping, distant conversations, cats meowing and dogs barking. Many surgical patients cry out when they are waking up from anesthesia, they may also stumble in their kennels making a low booming noise; this is normal and we don’t want you to be alarmed.
  • Please keep in mind; now that we are opening our doors to the public we will have to decrease the number of appointments that we can schedule daily. Please be patient with our receptionists when you call to schedule an appointment. They are trained to triage cases over the phone to determine urgency. They will do their best to give you the soonest available appointment.
