I called one minute before they closed. They were very polite and helpful. I was advised to show up the next morning at 8:30 and they would squeeze me in. I arrived at 8:15 filled out paperwork and they called me back immediately. I was moving from VA to NC during Florence and was a little stressed when my puppy had a scratch cornea. The receptionist, vet tech, and vet were very caring and understanding. They treated my baby like their own! I’m so fortunate that I found Island Pet Veterinary Hospital. I would highly recommend!!!

My very 1st contact with the Staff, was very warm and welcoming, I filled out all the new patients paperwork and made my 1st appointment for my dog Max. I had my vet in PA fax all the medical records for both my dogs.

Since my fur babies and I came through their doors, I noticed the rare trait of “active listening” by the veterinarians and staff, the genuine caring, patience, and respect of their clientele, and each other, their welcoming smiles, and their ability to ease any anxiety.
I knew something was not right with one of my Persians, and today, is doing well thanks to the immediate Dx and care plan.
Amanda helped me set up auto-ship on their website recently, with a partnered veterinary pharmacy and supply service, thus enabling me to get the RX diet needed without interruption, as it is not sold locally. I cannot say enough thanks for Drs. Guttroff, Cox, and Manczka-Fisher and the entire staff. It’s so important that they know how appreciated they all are. The “me-too’s” and me, say thank you for being you.

The staff was very pleasant and accommodating even under the circumstances of a hurricane recovery process. They treated my Springer “Linus the Mischievous” with the utmost care and professionalism. Linus is recovering nicely and almost back to his ornery self… Thank you very much to the staff…

We were on vacation and needed a vet to look at our older dog who had contracted something causing diarrhea and vomiting. We called and they got back to us within two hours and saw us that afternoon. Staff was helpful and courteous. Dr. Michelle Cox was very thoughtful and thorough in her examination and didn’t recommend or prescribe unneeded treatments. Less than 24 hours later the dog is doing much better and on the mend. The services were very reasonably priced. We are very appreciative of the kind, professional, and courteous service and care our pet received. Highly recommended!

Wonderful place! I didn’t have an appointment until Monday morning, and they squeezed me in their already packed schedule on Wednesday for my sick baby Zoey. They got her all treated up and she already feels so much better, forever grateful.

Wonderful experience with everyone at this office. They were able to get my dog in same day and were very friendly and caring. We will be back!
